By June 2023, the second Latter Day Heartbreaks album, This Used to Drive Me Crazy, was complete.

If the appeal of the first album lies in stylistic variation and juxtaposition, the strength of the second can be found on the other end of this spectrum — in its stylistic cohesion and through its compositional adherence to the established traditions of American Country & Western music.

San Jose artist Wolf Tijuana contributed a guest vocal on the album’s closing track, Activating Christ. Friend of the group Kermit Obert contributed the lyric to Please Don’t Miss Me ‘Til I’m Gone.

Additionally, friend and labelmate Daniel (of The MoonlightVision) aided in both mastering of the album and a promo video of the realtime playback of a test pressing.
